A Sunflower Galaxy
Oh my goodness, have I been a busy, busy girl!! I have felt like there has been no time to sit at my laptop and write, or anything else, and when there has been a moment or two that I could have, I have not had the brain power to do so. I am so incredibly tired, but I am getting things done and taking care of business. Oh, to have two of me.
The weather the last couple of days has been overcast and cooler. As I started that last sentence, the rain started. The forecast for the week is for rain and cloudy days with much cooler temperatures. The 70’s seem a bit chilly compared to the upper 80’s and low to mid 90’s we have had for so long. I’ll admit, its nice to hear the rain. Unfortunately, it has stopped already.
The garden has definitely enjoyed being out of the death sun. Within the first two days of having overcast skies, everything almost doubled in size and/or threw out flowers like confetti. Things are really getting quite beautiful out there. My Mammoth sunflowers have even started to get taller, which I had come to believe just wasn’t going to happen due to the high temps, intense sun, and being planted too close to the metal siding on the hanger. I’m so grateful I was wrong about that.
I was really irresponsible with my last paycheck. Sure, a couple of bills were taken care of but, mostly, I just wasn’t calculating every purchase made, and ended up in a position where we weren’t going to make it to the next paycheck. I threw out some life lines and had a bunch of work pile in. (Thank you my dear friends!!!) Yes, my hands are hating me and my back, ankle, and neck are completely displeased, but making it to payday is not a concern anymore. We’ve got this.
I find myself dreaming of down time. It looks like that will be either Thursday or Friday, at this point. At least it’s on the schedule. I’ll be making a few trips up north over the next few days to clean, which really makes things a bit hectic, but its money and where I am at.
My daughter came down on Wednesday to help me out with the dogs during this really busy work time. I’ll be driving her home to Redmond today. I wish I had more time to spend with her while she has been here, but it has been great getting to see her the little bit I have been able to. I miss her so much.
Lance and I went up to the Kirkland/Woodinville area to do a few cleans on Thursday and Friday. We stayed in his brother’s RV on Thursday night so we didn’t have to drive all the way back home to turn around and drive right back up in the morning. It was great to be able to set that up, especially since we didn’t get done with our clean on Thursday until 8:30 at night. It also gave us another clean. YAY!
I contacted the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation soon after I found out about the arthritis in my back. They sent me their application for services, I filled it out, sent it back, and the letter for my appointment came yesterday. This is a bit of a relief for me. Well, it could be anyway. I’m hoping that they can help me get into something that isn’t so labor intensive so I can stop doing everything that has brought me to this point in the first place. If they can’t help me with that, then, hopefully, they can give me some resources of where to go to potentially get out of a manual labor type job that won’t leave me inside, behind a desk all day long.
I want to take some photography classes. I enjoy taking photos, some of them even turn out really good, but I would like to be able to be better. When do I have time? Well, I’m not sure that I actually do but I guess that just means I would need to create the time. I don’t have it all figured out, just yet, but I’m working on it. Of course, there are the classes for the Meditation Certificate and the Holistic Healing classes…I guess I dream bigger than the time I have available right now. I think its time to do a time management budget, again.
Speaking of time management, I have a clean today and should go get ready to go. Lance will be back any minute with the dogs. Have a great day, Everyone!!!
