The Rootbeer store was a bit of a dud, yesterday. I like the store itself, but they only do taste testing on the second Saturday of each month, which is something I was unaware of. There was no mention in the ad of checking the store for their taste testing days. I guess I should have called to check on that. Oh well. My best friend and I picked out our sodas then headed out to just hang out together for a bit. I enjoyed getting to do that, especially since we don’t see each other very often due to our busy schedules. It was a good day.
I set up my little Christmas tree the other day, though I haven’t decorated it, yet. I pulled out the decorations and, though they are fine and my little tree looked nice last year, I would like to get new ornaments for it this year. I’m not sure I can swing doing so since this month is so slow for work, but I will see how things stand this coming pay day and decide from there. Whatever happens, I am going to need to pick up a new tree topper since the one I had has disappeared.
I’m headed over to the H&R Block website this morning. They are hiring for the upcoming tax season. My best friend has worked there the last couple of years during tax time and has urged me to apply. Its a receptionist job that pays about $10/hr, evening shift, which would work out well for me, especially during these slow months of move out cleaning work. Something is always better than nothing when talking about incoming money, so my fingers are crossed that I can add this income to the mix.
Well, that’s it for me this morning. Im going to go fill out that app and then probably read for a while since Lance is out walking the dogs and it will be quiet. Have a great day, Everyone!
