Tons of Rain and a Flood Warning, Almost Done with Chiropractic Therapy, Ganglion Cyst…

Every last drop of rain we didn’t get all Summer, and there were a whole lot of them we didn’t get, has been coming down all night. NOAA posted a flood warning a few days ago, but the real heavy rain started last night. There had been a wind advisory notice with the flood warning, but we made it through the winds fairly unaffected. We had one tarp to reset but that was it. Though the sound of the rain already sounds like we may need an ark to travel anywhere today, rain is forecasted for the entire week, with ‘Partly Sunny’ forecasted for next Friday.

We are headed up north today for the monthly clean we have up there. I have to admit I am not looking forward to getting on the freeway with all of this rain. Despite the fact that it rains here a whole lot of the time, no one seems to know how to drive in the rain. Well, at least there are enough drivers out there that don’t seem to know how to drive in the rain to really screw things up on the roads, especially the freeways. Oh well. Its frustrating but it is what it is. Extra caution needed today.

I’ve started my once a week visits with my chiropractor. This means I am almost done with my chiropractic visits. I have to admit that I am happy about that, and a part of me is a little sad, as well. The visits always make me feel better but, as I’ve said before, it takes time out of my schedule that I usually need or wish I didn’t have to give up. I’ve had to set alarms on my phone to keep me from missing appointments, lately. Just another part of me ready to move forward from this.

I’m going to try to set up some extra work between now and Thanksgiving. I really enjoyed being able to buy the kids something for Christmas last year and would really like to do that again. Sure, my daughter won’t be here Christmas morning, but it doesn’t change the fact that I still want to be able to get her something. My check was a little bit small this time, so extra work is the only way I can see being able to hit some of the Black Friday sales, which, of course, is when you have the best deals available. Worst case scenario, I will just have to make it work after Black Friday, but I will make it work.

I have a small-ish bump in my right wrist that can get quite painful to the touch, sometimes. This is something that I have noticed over the last couple of months. I asked my chiropractor to have a look at it, yesterday, at my appointment. He felt my wrist and said that he believes it probably a ganglion cyst. Of course, I looked it up on the internet. It doesn’t sound severe but more of a discomfort. If it becomes too uncomfortable, I can have the fluid drained out of it and it more than likely won’t return. This is good news. I was hoping it wasn’t anything too dramatic.

Well, I had better go get ready to head north. Have a great day, Everyone!!
