Lance’s second surgery is today. It took two hours of prep time but I entertained myself by watching the ultrasound of his axillary nerves (pictured above), which is where they wanted to (and did) apply the anesthetic. He will have dead arm after surgery, lasting anywhere from 12 hours to three days. Fingers crossed that everything goes well and there is no need to remove any more of his thumb. He went into surgery about two hours ago, so he should be done soon.
One of my sunflowers is forming a flower already! Part of me is excited about this but another part is curious. The sunflower is no where near what it’s full height will/should be. I guess we will just see how this goes.
I started the clean I have scheduled for today last night. When Lance is ready, I’ll drive him home then head over to finish it up. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long.
My week long vacation can’t start soon enough, though I’m not looking forward to Monday. I walked through Petco today, thinking it as a good place to waste some time while Lance is in surgery. As it turns out, it wasn’t. Was starting to have to fight back tears and preparing to head to the van so I could fall apart in private when my best friend called and rescued me from the confines of my head.
Well, I think I’m going to try to nap a little here in the waiting room. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!
