I’m a pretty versatile person. Its one of the benefits that came out of trying to be a chameleon most of my life. I have learned a great many different things in many different areas of life and they are all useful for navigating life. Sure, not all parts of the different things can apply to keeping me moving forward, but the various aspects of each have shown to be invaluable. Keep what you need and leave the rest.
I have learned patience from hunting, fishing, retail sales, parenting. I have learned that I am capable of making it through change without it destroying me through parenting, retail sales, construction, painting, living in an RV. I have learned great focus through college, cleaning, writing. This is not an all-inclusive list, by any means, of the different skills I have or how I have come to have them. I’m still breathing so this means that I am not done learning, acquiring skills, becoming more versatile.
Versatility is such a great tool to have in anyone’s life tool box. You become more capable of moving through the different changes of life, whether they be life altering changes or changes that just need your attention. The more skills you have to choose from, the better equipped you are to keep moving forward, left foot, right foot, repeat or in a more fluid forward progression. Without the plethora of skills I have gathered along my path, I would not be able to adequately apply the left foot, right foot, repeat method to make it through the larger challenges that come along. That’s my opinion, anyway.
