Success!

Wow! I haven’t posted a thing for two days! Ugh. It seems to be a constant theme lately, but I’ve been busy, busy, busy trying to make things happen. Yesterday, part of my hard work paid off.
I’ve mentioned that I’m doing move out cleans for a couple of condo complexes through a property management company. The guy I’m dealing with at the property management company is a really nice guy and we get along very well. He is one of those people you run into along life’s path that almost instantly feels like long time friendship.
Anyway, the on-site managers at each of the complexes are very particular about the cleaning of the condos. I was told when I started doing some of these cleans that there are almost always call backs to redo one thing or another that the on-site manager is displeased with and I was provided with a two and a half pages long check list for one of the complexes. In other words, these managers are tough to please.
Almost everything on the list is stuffs I normally do in a clean and the other things are not unreasonable. Since I started cleaning these complexes, I haven’t had a single call back. This is not to say I never will -I definitely have off days- but so far, both managers have given nothing but very positive feedback. The property management company is very pleased.
So, yesterday, the guy I deal with at the property management company (let’s call him Kyle) were discussing via text some cleans coming up that aren’t party of these complexes. Which ones can I do, which days to schedule which clean, and stuff like that. About 10 minutes after we had everything set, Kyle texted me -” Give mean call when you have a minute.”
Seeing as I haven’t had any call backs, I figured that was what it was about, so I called him right away. I quickly found out this was not about a complaint. In fact, the exact opposite.
One of Kyle’s teams had just notified him they were moving out of state – in 10 days! This was the team that cleaned all of the common areas at one of the condo sites. Guess who will be doing that now, every Monday. Yep! Me!!
The pay for this will cover all of my basic financial responsibilities every month, such as rent. This means that all of the other cleans and stuffs I’m doing will now get to provide for everything else andI can probably start putting some money away! Yeah, I did a little dance when I got of the phone with Kyle. The sun may not have been with me yesterday but this falling in my lap was like its own burst of sunshine.
