Finding a photo of myself is difficult. I am almost always the one behind the camera or phone, capturing the memories I want to have a hard copy of. Selfies tend to be the majority of the pictures you will find of me anymore.
This photo I took while out at one of our favorite dog parks. The pups (Enzo and Achilles) were only around 4-5 months old at the time and we were going to this dog park every day or every other day. Enzo and Achilles are Australian Cattle/Catahoula Leopard dogs, which are very high energy, then add puppy to the mix.
We were taking them to work with us to teach them “job site rules,” so their days were pretty disciplined. They needed an outlet for all of their energy, and a nice reward for all their hard work during the day, so we would head here and let them just run!!! They absolutely love it.
The park is full of trees and set up a lot like you are just taking a great walk out in the woods with your dogs. They run, swim in the water holes here and there, and just have a great time. This, of course, provided plenty of opportunities for some great pictures.
I had gotten some really great pics of all four dogs and was feeling really great. Life felt pretty close to perfect. I snapped a few photos of my husband and some of the two of us when it occurred to me, not for the first time, that I am NEVER in photos. So…a selfie. The moment has been immortalized, forever.
